Left on an eastbound train
Gone first thing this morning
Why’s what’s best for you
Always the worst thing for me
‘He thinks he’s all that,’ She thought as she stuffed the last of her clothes, angrily, into her bag.
‘Because he’s got a nice face and body, he thinks he can have everything and everyone?’
She growled silently as she zipped up her black boots.
‘Except for the one person who truly cares about him...naturally.’
She shook her head and laughed silently, "What the hell am I thinking?" she mumbled and picked up her bag. As much as she
thought about him, as much as she talked about him, Autumn refused to love Mark Jindrak anymore.
When am I gonna learn
Why? ‘Cause I’m tired of hating
When will it be your turn?
Why? ‘Cause I’m tired of waiting
No I don’t
No I don’t
No I don’t
Every night, a different girl on his arm. And neither night was it her.
Autumn said goodbye to the other Diva’s in the locker room and walked out. Stopping dead in her tracks as she stared.
Mark was standing there, talking to Luther, a skinny, make-up covered, brunette stood beside him.
A frown on her face, blinking back tears, Autumn started walking again.
"Hey, Autumn, I....." Mark began as she walked by.
"Sorry," She interrupted. "I’m..in a hurry. Later, Mark."
Well no I don’t find faith in your forced feelings
Not fooled by your misleadings
Won’t by this line you’re selling
Tired of this lie you’re telling
She couldn’t believe him. Yet another stick-skinny, brainless slut to keep him "company" that night.
But it was completely obvious that she liked him..so many hints dropped in the past year. And either he ignored them, or
was too stupid to figure it out. Autumn threw the bag in the trunk and slammed the lid down. She opened the drivers’
side and got in, closing it, and just sitting there. Mark could at least have the decency tell her he was or was not interested.
At least give her some closure!
I won’t, I don’t
No I won’t do this anymore
I won’t, I don’t
No I won’t do this anymore
Especially after that night in Boston.
SmackDown! had just finished taping and the two of them went to a local bar to get a drink and just relax. And he’d
kissed her. It wasn’t a peck on the cheek or lips, it was a full fledged kiss. Neither of them were drunk, or even tipsy,
they were both fully and strictly aware of what was going on.
Mark turned around and watched as Autumn practically ran away from him.
"What’s wrong with her?" Luther asked.
Mark shook his head, "I don’t know. But she’s been pretty weird lately."
"Who’s she?" The woman next to them asked.
"A friend," He replied, and turned to Luther. "Stay here, I’m gonna go see if she’s OK." He said and bolted
after her.
He and Autumn were close friends, but lately, he’d noticed, she’d been distant. It seemed like every time she
saw him, she got a frown on her face and was suddenly in a bad mood.
She says I’m only telling half of it
That’s probably ‘cause there’s only half worth telling
And every time I try to laugh it off
That’s when you turn around and wind up yelling
And then, that time in Boston....
Mark smiled at the thought of it. They’d shared a lot of fun times, but that one was definitely his favorite. But
he hated that the next day, Autumn just laughed it off and said it was ‘just a kiss and nothing more’ and that
it ‘meant nothing’.
Someone knocked on the car door window. Autumn looked up to see Mark looking in, a smile on his face.
Quickly wiping her tear away, she rolled down the window.
"Hey," He said, then noticed her eyes were a bit red. "Have you been crying?"
She shook her head, "Uhh..yeah..I bit my tongue." She said with a small laugh.
Mark nodded, "Oh. Well, I came to see if you were..OK. You seemed kind of troubled."
"No, I’m just tired and anxious to get back to the hotel." She said, faking a small yawn.
"You want me to drive you back?" He asked, "That way, you won’t fall asleep at the wheel."
She laughed a little and shook her head, "That’s OK, Mark. Besides, it, uh, looks like you’ve got..other things
to deal with."
He scoffed, "Is that what this is about? No. Listen..."
Autumn shook her head and started up the car, "It’s not about anything. I just don’t want to interfere."
"No. But.."
"Sorry Mark, I gotta go. Good night."
He backed away from the car as it sped out of the parking garage.
When am I gonna learn?
Why? ‘Cause I tired of hating
When will it be your turn?
Why? ‘Cause I’m tired of waiting
No I don’t
No I don’t
No I don’t
Autumn was tired of him. Tired of pretending she didn’t have feelings for him, and tired of being a pawn in his sick
and twisted game of Cat and Mouse. She didn’t understand , one day, he cared about her, the next, all he cared about
was himself and his slut.
‘Why the hell won’t he just tell me?’ She screamed in her head.
Or maybe, he was as confused as she was....maybe he didn’t know if she liked him. But it was doubtful.
No I don’t find faith in your forced feelings
Not fooled by your misleadings
Won’t buy this line you’re selling
Tired of this lie you’re telling
Mark walked and knocked on the hotel room door.
"Hold on!" A voice called from inside.
A few seconds later, Autumn opened the door. "Hey Mark, uh, come in." She opened the door wider, allowing Mark to walk
in. Autumn closed the door and walked over to him, "What’s up?"
Mark sighed, "Autumn, what’s wrong? I mean..you’ve been acting weird lately."
She shook her head, "Nothing’s wrong, Mark. Uhm, do you want something to drink?" She started to walk towards the
mini-fridge, but Mark grabbed her arm, stopping her.
I won’t, I don’t
No I won’t do this anymore
I won’t, I don’t
No I won’t do this anymore
Autumn laughed slightly, "Mark, nothing’s wrong!"
He shook his head, "Autumn, I’ve known you long enough to know when something’s wrong. What is it? Why are
you mad at me? What did I do?"
Her smile quickly turned upside down, her eyes gazed up at him. "It’s nothing you did. It’s just...I’m
tired of waking up every day, wondering if today will be the day when I tell you I..I have feelings for you."
Mark stared at her, "What?"
She rolled her eyes, "Come on, Mark! I’ve practically been screaming it at you!"
"No, you haven’t!"
"Yes, I have! Wasn’t Boston enough?"
She says I’m only telling half of it
That’s probably ‘cause there’s only half worth telling
And every time I try to laugh it off
That’s when you turn around and wind up yelling
"What?" Mark asked. "Boston? Autumn, you told me it was just a kiss that meant nothing!"
"Only after you apologized!" She sighed and sat down on the edge of the bed. "I only said that because I though that’s
what you wanted to hear."
When am I gonna learn?
Why? ‘Cause I’m tired of hating
When will it be your turn?
Why? ‘Cause I’m tired of waiting
No I don’t
No I don’t
No I don’t
Mark shook his head and knelt in front of her, "Autumn..I.." He sighed nervously, running his fingers through his short
hair. "No. That wasn’t what I wanted to hear."
"Then what did you want to hear?" She asked eagerly.
"What I wanted to hear? I didn’t want to hear anything. What I really wanted was to kiss you again...over and over
again. But after you said it was nothing, I knew you’d just be pissed."
No I don’t find faith in your forced feelings
Not fooled by your misleadings
Won’t by this line you’re selling
Tired of this lie you’re telling
Without thinking, without even knowing, Autumn wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately. He pulled
away and smiled, "I love you, Autumn. I’ve always loved you."
She nodded, "I love you too, Mark, I just wish we would’ve told each other sooner." She said as a tear rolled down
her cheek. Mark cupped her face in his hand and wiped the tear away with his thumb, "That doesn’t matter now."
She smiled, "Good. I don’t want to do this anymore..wonder if you love me."
"You don’t have to wonder..because I do." He said and kissed her again.
